STUDENTS from across Cardinia Shire got into the Twenty20 craze at the Cardinia Cup Super & Cricket Carnival at Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham last Thursday.

The year 7 and 8 students from Pakenham Secondary College, Emerald Secondary College, Lakeside Lutheran College, Beaconhills Christian College, and St Thomas Aquinas competed for a place in the regional finals.

The state final will be held at the MCG.

Thirteen boys' and four girls' teams competed in the carnival, an initiative of Cricket Victoria and the shire's youth services and recreation department.
