Rangers coach back for another stint

28 Sep, 2009 10:52 AM
THE Dandenong Basketball Association has reappointed Warren Dawson as coach of its South East Australian Basketball League men's team for the 2010 season.

Newly appointed basketball operations manager Leigh Gooding said the club went through an intensive selection process with a high standard of applications from well qualified individuals.

"Warren was re-appointed for several reasons, some of which included his intricate knowledge of the DBA and the men's program, his 10-year history coaching at the DBA, and his detailed program proposal submitted for the men's program in moving forward.

"To have Warren back for his 11th year as a coach is testament to his contribution, passion and commitment to the men's program."

The Dandenong Rangers start their assault on the 2009-10 Women's National Basketball League title against Bendigo this Friday night.

The game tips off at 7.30pm at Dandenong's Stud Road stadium.
