It's time for a carnival treat

09 Mar, 2010 10:01 AM
THINGS are looking more positive for this year's Casey Kid's Carnival.

Last year's event was cancelled due to heavy rains, but this weekend's weather forecast is more favourable.

The festival will be held this Saturday at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick.

There will be free rides, activities and entertainment focused on family fun.

Casey Mayor Lorraine Wreford said the highlight of the day would be the stage performance of Ice Age 3 at 11am and 1.30pm. "There will also be a community stage showcasing arts and community groups, children's rides, interactive activities, roving entertainers, workshops, face-painters, arts and craft, an animal farm, information stalls and much more."

The event is on from 10am-4pm Saturday at the Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick. Free entry. Details: 97055200.
